Dr. Lina Garcia, D.D.S., D.M.D.
"I just want to THANK YOU for everything you have done to help me, my husband and my mom. We are all doing great, and it is because of you and your expertise. You literally saved my life! Equally important, you also saved me from what is known as "the most excruciating pain known to the medical profession," trigeminal neuralgia. This pain is so terrible that it is even associated with suicide. At least I was fortunate enough to have access to pain relievers, but that was little solace for my circumstances.
Before coming to your office, I had been to many doctors and dentists and had a variety of X-rays, tests, an MRI and a sinus cat scan for this exact problem. I went to:
- My physician
- My neurologist
- A VA neurologist
- Two different dentists multiple times
- Three different oral surgeons
- An ENT
- Urgent Care four times
- Emergency room
I was given antibiotics, a cortisone shot, and multiple types of painkillers. I was told I had the following problems:
- Sinusitis
- They just didn't know
- It must just be the multiple sclerosis causing the pain
- Sensitive teeth
- Receding gums
- Phantom tooth pain
- An alien implant (an oral surgeon came up with this one)
- I was a "self-mutilater" and was jamming metal objects into my head (same oral surgeon)
- I had no problem in my gums at all, it was all healed perfectly and I was imagining the pain because I was "fixated" on my gums
This cost me a tremendous amount of time and money, and all the while I was literally in excruciating pain. The scariest part was the loss of hope that anyone would be able, or even willing to, help and that I may have this pain for the rest of my life.
I came to your office, and without even knowing I was in pain or any of this information at all, you took one look at my X-rays and saw EXACTLY what was wrong! You saw which teeth were problematic, and diagnosed the foreign debris left in my gums following root canals and extractions. Can you imagine my shock?! You referred me to an oral surgeon for these problems.
He surgically removed the debris, which was touching the trigeminal nerve, and removed dead bone. I had gangrene, and had it not been removed, would have continue to spread. Also, one tooth had exploded, another had extensive bone necrosis, and another had dead pulp and bone necrosis. You are a blessing, and I am eternally grateful to you!
I was also concerned about the mercury fillings I had. Again, you helped me with that situation, and now I have no mercury or metal left in my head. I am also taking chlorella and cilantro, eating fresh foods, taking clay baths and drinking filtered ionized water to detoxify from the mercury. The difference is incredible! All of my pain levels have decreased, and the head/face/neck pain is gone. I also have much more energy and am able to stay awake longer. There is simply no way to describe the difference in my health before and now without writing pages, so I will keep it short and say that to me, and my family, it is nothing short of miraculous.
Thank you so much for your caring, skill and willingness to help others. My husband is also much better after having the tooth with the root canal pulled and his mercury fillings replaced. The pathology report showed that the tooth with the root canal had dying pulp left in it and bone necrosis. My mom is also getting better now that she had the mercury removed. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I now have a full set of teeth that work great, with no mercury and no metal. My teeth look great and natural. We all think you are so special, and we appreciate who you are and what you do. Thanks again."

My experience with Dr. Garcia has been very positive. I needed to have my amalgam fillings replaced as well as a metal crown. Dr Garcia helped to educate me in environmental dentistry and the health benefits for the changes I was making. She is extremely calming and gentle with dental treatment. Her knowledge and experience is proven by her proficient dentistry. She and her staff really care about their patients and give quality time to each visit.
I highly recommend Dr Garcia whether you are in need of regular dental check-ups or dental work. Looking forward to a dental visit makes it very easy to return to her practice!

Had it not been for the opportunity to meet Dr. Garcia, I am not sure the direction my health would have taken. Prior to meeting her I had my mercury fillings removed and one root canal done. A year or so later I developed pain in both hands, and my thumbs were locked in an open position. It was at this point that I met Dr. Garcia. She gently encouraged me to have the root canal tooth pulled, indicating a correlation between root canals and rheumatoid arthritis.
I did not want to have a tooth pulled, and it took me several days to consider this option. But eventually I came to the conclusion that if pulling the tooth might help the pain in my hand joints, I was willing to try. I did have the tooth pulled, and the lab report came back showing the tooth was infected down to the bone. Since its removal, I have regained the use of my thumbs, and the finger joint pain has diminished. I am very thankful for Dr. Garcia. She is a gem, and I admire her tenacity to hold to her beliefs that are backed by knowledge and experience.
Secondly, my husband went through a similar experience. He had had three root canals done in close proximity to one another by another alternative dentist prior to meeting Dr. Garcia. Once again, upon meeting Dr. Garcia, her gentle persuasion along with my good results lead my husband to the decision of having all three root canals extracted. And once again, all three were infected and two abscessed. It is very clear to us both that root canals can be very dangerous as the dead tissue can feed bad bacteria to all parts of the body without you ever knowing. If more dentists would explain to their patients these possibilities before doing a root canal, I'm sure more people could be spared the bad effects that could follow.
Now knowing the dangers of root canals, I will never have another one done. The interesting part is that there was never any pain or discomfort in the tooth itself. Most people would never make the connection between a root canal and disease.
Dr. Garcia's dental work is the work of a perfectionist. She is a very loving and caring professional who treats her patients with kindness and respect, and my husband and I both feel blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and know her.

My husband and I both started seeing Dr. Garcia when I learned that I have very high levels of mercury in my body due to the many mercury fillings I have. I was surprised and pleased with the extra measures they utilize to extract the filling and the onlay I received was molded in the office and inserted immediately. I was impressed with the caring and knowledgeable staff and the passion and commitment Dr. Garcia has for her holistic dental practice. Additionally, my husband has gum disease and was told that only surgery would help. With their guidance his gums are doing great. We would both recommend Dr. Garcia.

Most people are unaware of the connection between root canals and various diseases or ailments because it can be difficult, if not impossible, to trace one back to the other. My story is about some very traceable negative results of having a root canal. Prior to learning about Dr. Garcia or how damaging root canals can be, I had a root canal in my lower right molar, after suffering chronic discomfort in the tooth. After the root canal, I continued to have discomfort and mentioned it to my dentist. He told me that was impossible because all the nerves had been removed during the root canal. It had to be the tooth behind it. He suggested a root canal on that tooth. Luckily I procrastinated on this second root canal after a very painful experience the first time around.
During that post-root canal period, I had developed a seemingly unrelated lump on my right eyelid. At first it was simply annoying, but after awhile it became somewhat disfiguring. I could no longer camouflage it with makeup and eyeglasses and became very self-conscious. Being against surgery, except where life or limb is at risk (and especially on anything as delicate as the eye), I asked several medical professionals what the lump was, what could have caused it, and what, if any, non-surgical steps could be taken to reduce or remove it. No one had any answers other than, "It's just a fatty lump?these sometimes pop up for no reason?surgery is the only solution?and there's no guarantee that it won't just come back." I was soooo not satisfied.
Before I could follow through with the second root canal, I learned about Dr. Garcia. During my first visit, she was reviewing my file and the fact that it showed a root canal in my history. She looked at my eyelid and asked how long the lump had been there - had it shown up before or after my root canal? When I told her that it had shown up after the root canal, she immediately pronounced that it was a pocket of bacteria that had traveled from the site of the root canal, and how lucky I was that it went there instead of one of the more damaging places it could have gone. I sheepishly told her I thought I was still feeling discomfort in the tooth. Instead of looking at me like I was crazy, she replied, "Of course! There's still an infection in that tooth!" She then explained the failings of root canals and how all the nerves are NOT removed. She recommended I have the tooth pulled as soon as possible. I did and within a month the lump had decreased by about half its size and within two months the lump had disappeared completely. I also never again experienced the tooth discomfort I had previously complained about. I thank God and Dr. Garcia that I never went for the second root canal or surgery on my eye (both, as it turns out, dangerous and unnecessary).

Over the years, as I have been a patient of Dr. Garcia's for a long time, I have noticed my symptoms to environmental allergies improve as I have had mercury fillings removed.
Most recently, and most impressively, was the incident of a car crash which involved an impact to the dentistry that Dr. Garcia had completed on me. I was amazed that all her beautiful work stayed intact even though the bridgework and surrounding teeth had practically been "restructured" by Dr. Lina! She saved my smile!!!!!!!!

Wow is the best way to describe Dr. Garcia and her practice. Until now, I have not experienced a dentist who sincerely cares for her patients. Last month I had 5 mercury fillings removed and replaced with overlays in 2 hours flat! I have never had a dental experience quite like this one! I was numb with only 4 shots in only 5 minutes (I typically need at least 4 shots per tooth with my past conventional dentist, not to mention waiting an hour or so to become numb). I was given relaxing music to listen to, fresh air to breathe and a special device was placed in my mouth to ensure that I would not ingest any of the mercury leaving my mouth. My mouth was continuously rinsed with a substance that soaks up excess mercury like a sponge, making me feel safe against any toxins that may be coming out of my teeth. Once the mercury was removed, my numbness wore off and it was time to place the onlay/overlays into the teeth. Lina's equipment is state of the art and incredibly impressive. With the help of the computer and an excellent machine that creates the mold that fits into the tooth like a puzzle, completing the dental procedure was easy and painless. Suffering with Candida for years, I am currently detoxifying my system?removing the mercury fillings was the first major step as I have exhausted all other avenues without results thus far. It has only been 4 weeks since I had my filling removed, so I can't say that I have noticed a major difference in my Candida yet, but I am on my way to recovery. Removing the mercury was a step in the right direction.
P.S. Logan is doing great! He never even mentioned having the cavities filled, but he knows that there is one more to go. Thank you for being so great with him, you are a treasure!
