• “In March of 1999 a 104ft cell phone tower was erected in our Chico, Ca residential neighborhood. At the time the tower was within the county limits but only 100 feet from a residential neighborhood within the city limits.

  Although attempts to educate the planning commission and the city council were made by submitting pages of written documentation regarding the subject, the city remained ignorant on the issue. They were told by attorneys for the city and the industry that the science was junk and that the Telecommunications Act of 1996 took away their right to deny permits. We were beside ourselves with frustration and our lack of ability to educate them.
