Krill FAQ
Why should I take krill oil? Two important reasons:
- It will increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids.
- It will increase your intake of antioxidants.

What about the whales that need the krill?
Krill are semi-translucent crustaceans that congregate in dense masses or swarms that can actually turn the ocean's surface pink or red. Together with plankton, krill make up the largest biomass on earth. This makes them one of the most easily renewable food resources available, and an excellent nutritional source from an environmental perspective.
What is the shelf life of krill oil after I receive a bottle?
Krill has a three-year shelf life, if stored in a dry, dark, and cool place.
Does heat affect the quality of the product?
The Krill oil itself is not affected by heat. However, the gelatin capsule could become sticky or start to leak the krill oil out.

What is the different between Krill Oil and fish oil?
There are two major reasons for taking krill oil rather than fish oil.
- Krill Oil is MUCH Better Absorbed Than Fish Oil
This means you can take 1/5 the dose, and get by with two small capsules rather than 10 large ones. The phospholipid binding increases the bioavailability of the omega-3s, improves the omega-3 to omega-6 ratio and supports healthy cell membrane functioning.*
-
Unfortunately, fish oil is weak in antioxidant content. Not only that, but as you increase your intake of omega-3 essential fatty acids by consuming fish oil, you actually increase your need for more antioxidant protection.
