Talking
on a cell phone may hold detrimental health consequences. A bio-physics
and radio-physical study indicated that mobile phone over-use can
lead to premature aging. How? According to researchers, exposure
to the shortwaves and microwaves transmitted to and from a cell
phone can cause damage to:
- Human cells (red blood cells in particular)
- Blood enzymes.
In the same 15-year study, researchers observed one's exposure
to electromagnetic and electric fields that are generated by power
lines and power plants near homes and offices. They found that the
safe distance from such a strong field or power tower was over 20
meters; it was advised to steer a kilometer clear of radio broadcasting
towers.
More Strikes Against Mobiles
Exposure to unsafe power tower conditions inside plants was proven
to have led to heart problems, tension, allergies and other ailments
among workers.
The study also found that the magnetic and electromagnetic fields
in the voltage in Egypt have affected liver enzymes, glands, muscles,
hormone balance, and heart and bone marrow. Such exposure affected
fetuses in lab rats and the pregnant rats formed blood and lymphatic
cancers.
